We were traveling by car from Montreal and we stopped in several places in the US. This was by far the best restaurant we tried! Delicious food and an amazing service! There are not words enough to describe my excellent experience!!!
Everything on the menu is delicious. This is our second time here and, with 5 people each time, I think we tried just about everything. Our favorites were the beef stew, the rib eye, the stuffed chicken, the bread pudding and the creme brûlée. Definitely save room for dessert, as it was fantastic. They mix a really good cocktail as well! Do yourself a favor and go!
Spent a night in St. Michaels and drove over here for dinner--we weren't disappointed. I had the duck, wife had the lamb--both were fantastic and paired with excellent sides. We both cleaned our plates and with an appetizer we definitely had no room for desert. Our server, Susan, was excellent--attentive and helpful. We didn't make reservations, but definitely recommend doing so since the place is on the small side.
The food was delicious, I would give it 10 stars if I could. The restaurant is very elegant and there are delicious desserts and appetizers and it is very pretty. I recommend it. My favorites were the beef stew, the rib eye, the stuffed chicken and especially the tiramisú. Go. Immediately. And enjoy!
We were pleasantly surprised by how excellent our meals were. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The shrimp and grits was as good as I have ever had. Those grits were so creamy! We will definitely be back soon.
Brunch was wonderful! Lisa was so attentive and hospitable - always on top of providing more hot water for the tea. The chicken chowder, eggs benedict, and shrimp and grits were incredibly tasty. Will definitely be back!
T at the General Store is an absolute gem! I have been three times – twice for brunch, once for dinner. Everything has been consistently great across the board. If you can catch Sunday brunch, don’t miss the pancakes. We went for dinner for the first time tonight and loved everything from the apps to sides to mains to dessert. The crab cakes and bread pudding were particular stand-outs. It’s worth the drive from any of the nearby towns!
I had an amazing dining experience! The tuna tartare was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and melted in my mouth. The duck was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful inside. Every bite was a delight. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making great recommendations without being intrusive. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Whether for a special occasion or a casual night out, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to return!
